Logo Redesign: One of the first projects I worked on in my design position at the Academy of Music in Grand Rapids was to refresh their logo. A private music school that serves both children and adults, I updated the color scheme into cool neutrals and opted for a clear and modern typeface. I maintained the original ‘star’ iconography with an adjustment to match the typeface, and an option of using the icon with the name for social media use.

Patch made for the non-profit conservation group St. Clair Sturgeon For Tomorrow catch and release program, in partnership with the Michigan DNR, and commemorating the 10 year anniversary of this program. Features an iconic image of a sturgeon breaking the surface while on the line, a sight that the participating fishermen are well familiar with.
Working with the content of the books and essays for this book series project, my imagery and color choices were influenced by the illustrations of comic book art and text. I believe it was important make full use of the wide format available as dust jackets, while also keeping in mind how the formatting would change if converted to paperback dimensions. I chose to continue the imagery fully across the pieces, encouraging the consumer to not only pick up and handle the book but to further explore the contents within.
